Grid Beanie
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A PDF, NOT A READY KNITTED ITEM
ABOUT PATTERN:
Grid beanie is an all-over textured beanie worked in a simple yet fun grid stitch pattern. It's designed for adults in two sizes and has enough length for a double folded brim that sits right above the ears. The beanie is worked in the round, bottom up, using the magic loop technique. It’s worked first as a long tube and then decreased towards the crown. The length can easily be adjusted and the brim can be folded once or twice according to personal preference.
The beanie in the sample picture is worked in size 1, head circumference 55 cm [21.5 in] and the brim is folded twice.

WORKFLOW:
The beanie is first worked from bottom up.
You will start by casting on stitches for the body of the beanie, and working your way up in the round, as a tube.
Once the body is knit to the desired length, you will start decreasing towards the crown.
The final stitches are bound off, and the beanie is finished by weaving in the ends and blocking it with your preferred blocking method to relax the stitches and the grid stitch pattern.
Note that the texture makes the beanie seem smaller before blocking it, so it must be blocked to reach the intended measurements.
Enjoy this pattern and happy knitting!
